There’s something different about the way people from small towns dream. The world feels distant, unreachable — but also magnetic. That’s the energy Ilyas Megarbi grew up with.
Born in 1997 in the coastal town of M’diq, Morocco, Ilyas was raised by a single mother who did everything she could to provide him with stability — and a spark of possibility. That spark took the shape of a laptop when he was just 9 years old. While most kids his age were outside kicking footballs, Ilyas was inside, clicking around forums, testing websites, downloading software, and trying to make sense of this infinite machine called the internet.
He didn’t know it at the time, but he was laying the foundation for everything that would come next.
The First Dollar Is the Hardest
At 16, while still in high school, Ilyas made his first dollar online through ecommerce. It wasn’t much — maybe enough to grab a meal — but it felt like magic. “I can actually make money without leaving my house?” That realization became an obsession.
But the internet doesn’t hand out success easily.
Ilyas failed. A lot. Dropshipping stores that didn’t work. Projects that flopped. Skills that didn’t pay off. At one point, it felt like every win came with ten setbacks. But he kept going, kept learning. Kept trying.
And at 21, something clicked.
He made his first sale on Fiverr, the freelancing platform that would change everything.
Scaling Up. Way Up.
In less than two years, Ilyas had scaled his freelancing income to $7,000/month — more than most people in his city ever imagined possible through a laptop.
It wasn’t just about the money. It was about control, freedom, and the realization that he could build something real on his own terms.
Soon after, he founded Infinite Design, a branding agency that helped clients across the globe develop standout identities. But Ilyas wasn’t done. He wanted to build something bigger — not just for himself, but for others.
Creating Skill.ma — and a Mission
In 2023, Ilyas launched Skill.ma, now one of North Africa’s best e-learning platforms. It wasn’t just a business. It was a mission: to help more people from Morocco and beyond learn how to make money online, become self-reliant, and break free from outdated systems.
With Skill.ma, Ilyas created the platform he wished he had when he was starting out. Clear lessons. Local context. No fluff.
Today, he runs Skill Holdings, Infinite Network Solutions, and a few other ventures, all centered around one simple idea: the internet can set you free — if you know how to use it.
"I failed more times than I can count. I didn’t know it then, but every failure was a step closer to freedom."

Content, Community, and Custom AI Agents
You’ll find Ilyas today posting videos and insights on YouTube, Instagram, and X (Formally Twitter) — breaking down the world of freelancing, online business, and personal growth. He doesn’t pretend to have all the answers, but he shares what he’s learned, what he’s building, and what still confuses him.
He’s also deep into AI, not just using it, but building with it — custom agents, systems, workflows. Not because it’s trendy, but because it’s powerful. And he wants creators and entrepreneurs to have that power too.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what drives him: helping people make a living on their own terms. Whether it’s a teenager in Morocco with a laptop, or a burned-out 9-to-5 worker in a big city, Ilyas believes there’s another way — a freer way — and he’s here to show it’s possible.
Still That Kid From a small town
Ask Ilyas where he’s headed next, and he might say “up.” But deep down, he’s still that kid from M’diq — exploring the internet, chasing new ideas, building the future, one click at a time.
